COVID-19 Testing at Aakash Healthcare
Aakash Healthcare Super Speciality Hospital, Dwarka’s Laboratory is now testing for COVID-19, the lab has been approved by ICMR, Govt of India. Our Laboratory is extremely hygienic and our phlebotomist are thoroughly trained for safe sample collection. You will have to present the following documents to get a swab-based test for COVID-19 at Aakash Healthcare.
- Prescription from a doctor, stating COVID-19 testing
- One government photo-identification (Aadhar Card, Passport, Pan Card, Driving Licence or Voter Card)
- Specimen referral form for COVID-19 (SARS-CoV2)
Who should get tested?
If you have acute onset of fever and symptoms of respiratory illness, such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing, loss of taste or smell, fever or chills, headache, sore throat, fatigue, diarrhea, body ache, vomiting, runny nose or congestion then visit your nearest hospital. Let the doctor decide, if you need COVID-19 testing, depending on factors such as contact with any suspected patients or travel history.

We share all patients’ reports with the relevant authorities, as per the guidelines of Govt of India and ICMR. We will also upload your report on our website https://aakashhealthcare.com/ and mobile app, subject to govt rules and regulations.

What kind of sample is needed for testing?
Nasopharyngeal and Oropharyngeal swab will be collected by our trained phlebotomist.
What methodology is being used for testing?
RT PCR, as recommended by ICMR.
