Overview

It is a speech disorder caused by muscle weakness. It can make it hard for the patient to talk.People may have trouble understanding what the patient says.

Cause

• Brain stroke
• Brain injury.
• Brain tumor.
• Parkinson’s disease.
• Cerebral Palsy.
• Muscular Dystrophy.

Symptoms

• Have slurred speech.
• Speech that can be hard to understand.
• Talk too fast.
• Speak softly.
• Not able to move tongue, lips or jaw.
• Sound Robotic.
• Change in voice.

Treatment plan

• Speech Therapy.
