Overview

It is speech disorder which affects the quality of speech in which speech sounds could be distorted or substituted.

Cause

• Cleft palate.
• Hearing Loss.
• Oral Motor Anomalies.
• Difficulty in learning early speech sounds.
• Neurological disorders.

Symptoms

• Distorted Speech.
• Failing to correctly pronounce letter or words at the expected age.
• Trouble using the muscles necessary to talk so that it is hard for others to understand.
• Trouble saying words.
