Radiology ( X-rays, MRIs, CT scans)
We at Aakash Healthcare Super Speciality Hospital put our patients first and strive to provide the best patient care in an ultramodern facility. Our team of professional radiologists use the most recent innovations to help people recover from their illnesses. The department provides an array of advanced imaging services which includes magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography scanning (CT), ultrasound, and digital mammography that help the doctors precisely analyze each illness region, assuring early recognition and treatment.
Early detection is a priority for us and we leave no stone unturned to make the optimum use of advanced imaging technology for early diagnosis. Our radiologists work in close association with surgeons, oncologists and other caregivers to augment the treatment process.
Key Medical Procedure/Services
Ultrasound imaging, also called ultrasound scanning or ultrasonography, involves exposing part of the body to highfrequency sound waves to acquire images of the inside of the body.
Bone Mineral Density
Bone mineral density testing is a way to see if your bones are healthy and strong. A bone mineral density test is used to measure the density (strength) of your bones. A bone mineral density test uses X-rays to measure the amount of mineral, mainly calciumin your bones. This test is important for people who are at risk for osteoporosis, especially women and older adults.
A computerized tomography (CT) scan combines a series of X-ray images taken from different angles and uses computer processing to create cross-sectional images, or slices, of the bones, blood vessels and soft tissues inside your body. CT scan images provide more detailed information than plain X-rays do.
Doppler ultrasound is a noninvasive test that can be used to estimate your blood flow through blood vessels by bouncing high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) off circulating red blood cells. It helps doctors evaluate blood flow through major arteries and veins, such as those of the arms, legs, and neck. It can show blocked or reduced flow of blood through narrow areas in the major arteries of the neck that could cause a stroke.
Kidney ,Ureter & Bladder Ultrasonography
KUB refers to a diagnostic medical imaging technique of the abdomen, and stands for Kidneys and Urinary Bladder, although in fact the ureters only show if they are abnormally distended. A KUB ultrasound is examination, which is requested by your doctor to evaluate the urinary tract that includes the kidneys, ureters, and urinary bladder. In the male patient, the prostate gland is also scanned.
Magnetic resonance imaging or MRI is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to image the anatomy, and the physiological processes of the body in terms of both health and disease. It is a non invasive medical testthat doctors use to diagnose medical conditions.
Transvaginal Ultrasonography Scan
Ultrasound tests use high-frequency sound waves to allow doctors to see your internal organs. The sound waves bounce off your organs, creating images of these structures. A transvaginal ultrasound is a kind of pelvic ultrasound that is used to see reproductive organs like the uterus, ovaries, cervix, and vagina more clearly.
An ultrasound scan is a medical test that uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images from the inside of your body.
An X-ray is a common imaging test that has been used for decades to help doctors view the inside of the body without having to make an incision. An X-ray is a quick, painless test that produces images of the structures inside your body particularly your bones.
